Sunrise license check

Police officers in Tabor City were busy early Friday, conducting a Governor’s Highway Safety Program checkpoint on U.S. 701 in the area of Ten Mile Road.
At least five vehicles were towed early, Capt. Greg Sibbett said, when officers found drivers who did not have a valid license.
Officer Chris Hilburn checked a valid license as the sun peaked over the treeline.
