Security upgrade

A walk-through metal detector saw its first use at the Tabor City District Court Building Friday, about three weeks after Tabor City Council approved the $4,000 purchase. Columbus County Sheriff’s deputies are responsible for operating the machine. “I am very grateful to the town for providing this extra security as well as all the other improvements they have made to make the courthouse safe,” said Columbus County Clerk of Court Jess Hill, left.
