An early April shooting that resulted in the death of a Fair Bluff man a day later has resulted in an arrest, a warrant served by the State Bureau of Investigation shows.
Rykeem Obrian Tyler, 25, of EA Barnes Lane, Fair Bluff, was charged Tuesday, Columbus County Detention Center records show, held without bond on the warrant obtained by SBI Special Agent R.C. Bannerman.
Tyler is charged in the April 5 death of Brandon Maurice Moore, 22, who was found in the roadway on Scott Street in Fair Bluff just after 7 p.m. on April 4.
Moore had been shot through the eye, The News Reporter in Whiteville reported, and was rushed by ambulance to the helipad at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville, then flown to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
Moore died late in the evening of April 5 in the Wilmington hospital.
