TC man killed in Longs wreck

     A one-car crash just south of the state line near Longs claimed a Tabor City man’s life Tuesday evening.

     Harrelson Long, 60, died in the 8 p.m. crash on Pond Road, Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden said Wednesday.

     Long was alone in his 2000 Mercury, travelling south on the two-lane highway when his car left the right side of the roadway and struck a bridge railing, Cpl. Sonny Collins of the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

     Long was not wearing a seatbelt, Collins said.
