Missing teen found safe

Hannah Abigail Campbell

Tuesday update

Hannah Campbell “has been located and is safe,” Columbus County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Michelle Tatum said Tuesday afternoon.

Campbell had not been seen by family since late Saturday night. Investigators now know that her boyfriend “dropped her off at a friend’s residence to stay the night,” Tatum said in a news release. “Today, Hannah walked with some friends from that residence to Whiteville High School, where Whiteville Police Department located her.”

Monday evening

A search is underway for a Whiteville teen missing since Saturday, Columbus County Sheriff Lewis Hatcher said Monday.

Hannah Abigail Campbell, 16, was last seen about 11 p.m. Saturday at her Forest Drive West home near Whiteville, Hatcher said in a news release.

Described as a white female with brown hair, hazel eyes, standing 5 feet four inches tall and weighing about 125 pounds, Campbell left home without her cell phone.

Anyone who has had contact with Campbell or who knows where she is is asked to contact Det. Samantha Hickman at the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office at 910-642-6551.
