A total of 11 people escaped injury, including five children from 1 to 6 years of age as gunshots hit three homes on or near Ten Mile Road near Tabor City Friday night, Columbus County Sheriff’s Office reports show.
Deputies were summoned first to a home in the 5400 block of Ten Mile Road just after 9 p.m. Friday, with the woman there reporting that bullets had struck the residence, sheriff’s spokeswoman Michelle Tatum said Monday.
Five children, a man and a woman were also in the home watching television when the gunshots were heard, Tatum said.
Deputies also found that bullets had struck the home of two neighbors, Tatum said.
Damage listed on a report by Deputy Justin McPherson included $3,000 to a single wide mobile home, and damage to a Chevrolet Impala with no value listed.
