A widespread issue impacting cell phone users across the southeastern United States is causing problems for those calling 9-1-1, Columbus County Emergency Services Director Kay Worley said Thursday morning.
Anyone having problems attempting to call 9-1-1 in Columbus County can call 910-640-1428, Worley said.
Horry County 9-1-1 center officials could not immediately confirm the issue is impacting them late Thursday morning. The main, non-emergency administration line for Horry County 9-1-1 is 843-915-5100.
