Christmas on Main will remain in Tabor City today, though rain has forced some events inside.
This morning’s Jingle Jog has been cancelled, a victim of the incessant rain that began Friday, Bringing back Main spokeswoman Pam Byrd said.
Organizers are hoping the rain will let up in time for Santa’s planned 10 a.m. arrival at the Santa House next to the Tabor City Public Library, where a new Santa’s Mailbox has been set up.
Breakfast provided by the Back Porch Food Truck will be available for $5. Call 910-625-7974 for reservations.
Professional photos will be available at the Santa House.
Other events will be inside the Tabor City Fire Department, including cookie decorating with the children at 1 p.m., some fees apply, and a free showing of Polar Express on the big screen. Each child will receive a bell and a golden ticket.
A live nativity at 5 p.m., Christmas Flotilla at 6 p.m. at Lake Tabor should go off as scheduled, with forecasts for greatly diminished rain chances in the afternoon.
