JoAnne Nobles Johnson: Tabor City
1948 – 2019
JoAnne Nobles Johnson of Tabor City died Saturday, June 8, in her home. She was 70.
Born Oct. 18, 1948 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Taft and Alice Bertie Edwards Nobles and the widow of the Johnny Michael Johnson.
She was a member of Emerson Original Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Bullock of Tabor City and Polly Mahboub and husband Shiref of Bladenboro; one son, Rev. Timmy Jay Hodge and wife Carla of Galivants Ferry; one brother, Lloyd Nobles of Thomasville; one sister, Lorean Fipps of Columbia; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, JW Nobles and Johnny Nobles; one sister, Carlene Tinker.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m Monday, June 10 at Inman-Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, in Emerson Original Free Will Baptist Church, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
