1941 – 2019
Paul M. Prince of Loris, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at his home following an illness. He was 77.
Mr. Prince was born on Sept. 30, 1941 in Loris, to the late Rufus Prince and the late Lula Gracie Wade Prince.
Mr. Prince served his country with courage and honor in the United States Navy and was a Master Mason and forty-seven year member of Loris Lodge #205 AFM. He owned and operated True Value hardware in Loris until his retirement and was a longtime member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Todd Prince of the home; his son, Gene Paul Prince and wife, Tammy of Loris; his two grandchildren, Chase Prince and wife, Emily of Conway, and Taylor Prince of Florence, and his two sisters, Myrtle Debaghion of Awendaw, and Wilma Cox of Loris.
Mr. Prince was predeceased by his parents; his three brothers, J.R. Prince, Jack Prince and Tommy Prince and his sister, Bonnie Lee.
Funeral services were planned for 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, with Rev. Rodney Hord officiating. Committal services were to be private.
Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the church.
