Lillian Cox “Dot” King: Loris

1933 – 2019

     Lillian Cox “Dot” King of Loris was totally healed and entered heaven on Sept 8. She was 86.

     Born April 16, 1933, she was the daughter of Wayman and Nora Cox of Tabor City.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. King is predeceased by her husband John D. “Buck” King; one brother, J.C. Cox; six sisters, Edna Mae Livingston, Marie Wilcox, Star Finnessey, Muriel Graham, Macel Hughes, and Leona Floyd.

     Mrs. King is survived by two daughters, Donna McDowell and Teresa K. Blanton; and sisters Joan Schuetz and Sue Callahan.

     Family wishes to thank Wanda Jackson for her love and faithful service as a caregiver for Mrs. King; as well as, Cape Fear Mercy Hospice.

     Services were planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel with Dr. Louis Venable officiating, committal services following at Twin City Memorial Gardens.

     Visitation was planned from noon to 1:45 p.m., preceding the service, at the funeral home.
