Harvey Elbert Buck: Tabor City

1935 – 2019

     Harvey Elbert Buck of Tabor City died Saturday, Sept. 14, in his home. He was 83.

     Born Nov. 19, 1935 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late John Harvey and Lula Estelle Long Buck.

     He is survived by his wife, Brenda Mincey Buck of the home; three sons, Harry Wayne Buck of Tabor City, Steven Glen Buck and his wife Rhonda of Tabor City and Danny Gene Buck of Tabor City; seven grandchildren, Glenda Buck, Erica Fowler (Michael), Haley Cartrette (Aubrey), Kayla Hinson (Jeremy), Cody Buck, Matthew Lee and Gwendolyn Buck; seven great grandchildren, Braylon, Lauren, Maci, Maddox, Tatum, Luke and Greta.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Grady Buck and one sister, Annette Buck McNeil.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Dulah Missionary Baptist Church, burial following in the church cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the church.
