Nancy Alene Smith Reaves: Tabor City

1956 – 2019

     Nancy Alene Smith Reaves of Tabor City died Monday, Oct. 21, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter in Whiteville. She was 63.

     Born July 17, 1956 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of Lizzie Mae Watts Smith of Tabor City and the late Hubert Eldridge Smith and the widow of Clyde Milton Reaves.

     In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Reaves McPherson of Clarendon; a sister, Vickie Smith Ward of Tabor City; and one grandchild.

     In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Benny Eugene Smith Sr.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, in Pireway Free Will Baptist Church, burial following in Pireway Cemetery.
