Paul Edward Hathaway, Sr.: Tabor City

1940 – 2019

     Paul Edward Hathaway, Sr. of Tabor City died Monday, Oct. 28, in McLeod Loris hospital. He was 79.

     Born July 10, 1940 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Liston Joseph and Geneva Long Hathaway.

     He is survived by his wife, Deborah Hathaway of the home; three sons, Paul Edward Hathaway, Jr. and wife Dana of Tabor City, Jerry Edward Bullock and his wife Penny of Tabor City, and Grover Tilman Bullock of Tabor City; three daughters, Sonya Hathaway Duncan and husband Richard of Tabor City, Tanya Nichole Morris of Green Sea,  and Debbie LaFaye Ward and husband Richard Brooks Ward of Tabor City; one sister,  Barbara Hathaway Stevens of Nakina; twenty six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tonya Sue Mishoe and one sister, Frances Gray Conner.

     Funeral services were planned for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the chapel.
