Linda Gail Buffkin: Green Sea

1948 – 2019

     Linda Gail Buffkin of Green Sea died Friday, Nov. 8, in her home. She was 70.

     Born Nov. 19, 1948 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Jamie Lee Williamson and Sadie Mae Fowler Williamson.

     She is survived by her husband, Larry Buffkin of the home; four sons, Dean Buffkin and wife Amy, Perry Buffkin and wife Edith, Anthony Buffkin and wife Amy, and Derek Buffkin and wife Meagan, all of Green Sea; two sisters, Edith Williams of Fayetteville and Carolyn Buffkin of Green Sea; a brother, Jerry Wayne Williamson of Pearland, Texas; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, James Edward “Buddy” Williamson; and a granddaughter, Jamie Lee Buffkin.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in Grace Baptist Church of Horry County, burial following in Buffkin Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the church.
