Roy Linwood “Sambo” Buffkin, Sr.: Green Sea

1942 – 2019

     Roy Linwood “Sambo” Buffkin, Sr. of Green Sea died Sunday, Nov. 10, in McLeod Loris hospital. He was 77.

     He was born May 31, 1942 in Horry County.

     He is survived by one son, Roy Linwood Buffkin, Jr. of Green Sea; one step daughter, Kathryn Lynch of Green Sea; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Fowler Buffkin; one brother, Jerry Buffkin; and two sisters, Rosa Lee Clark and Betty Jo Buffkin.

     Funeral services were planned for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the chapel.
