William Lewis Carter III: Clarkton

1978 – 2019

     William Lewis Carter III of Clarkton died Jan. 6 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. He was 41.

     Born Sept. 8, 1978 in Horry County, he was the son of the late William Lewis Carter Jr. and Carolyn Kathy Soles Carter.

     He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Rose Heath Carter of the home; a daughter, Katlyn Lenik of Clarkton; five sons, Aaron Ledford of Loris, Dominic Mitchell Vanderkolk of Shallotte, William Lewis Carter IV of Clarkton, Brandon Roy Vanderkolk of Shallotte, and Aiden Lee Carter of Clarkton; and one sister: Tanya Smith of Tabor City.
