Ethel Aileen Williams: Clarendon

1947 – 2020

     Ethel Aileen Williams of Clarendon died Friday, Jan. 10, in her home. She was 72.

     Born March 11, 1947 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Golie Richard Jacobs and Mary Aileen Jones Jacobs and the widow of Robert Lee Williams.

     She is survived by one daughter, Robin Brown of Clarendon; three brothers, Mitchell Jacobs of Leland, Thurman Jacobs of Southport, and Marvis Jacobs of Lumberton; three sisters, Kathy Gore of Old Dock, Doris Inman of Shallotte, and Estelle Jacobs of Lee Summit, Missouri; and two grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Lee Williams, Jr.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, in Chadbourn Pentecostal Holiness Church, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the church.
