Irma Walker Lovett: Tabor City

1932 – 2020

     Irma Walker Lovett of Tabor City died Sunday, Jan. 26, in the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center in Bolivia.  She was 87.

     Born Oct. 15, 1932, in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. B. R. Walker and Lula Mae Tyree Walker and the widow of Aaron Lovett.

     She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Gale Lovett Buffkin of Ocean Isle Beach, and Donna Lovett Bauer of Durham; one son, Marcus Wayne Lovett of Tabor City; 6 grandchildren; and one great grandson.

     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

     Funeral services will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
