Carol Dailey Dunaway: Green Sea

1955 – 2020

     Carol Dailey Dunaway of Green Sea passed away Sunday, April 5. She was 65.

     Mrs. Dunaway was born in Clinton, South Carolina, a daughter of the late George and Vida Dailey. She was a teacher for many years with Horry County Schools, retiring from Aynor Middle School. She loved music and treasured her time volunteering as a Guardian ad Litem for Horry County youth. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

     Mrs. Dunaway was predeceased by her husband, Robert Dunaway.

     Survivors include one son, Andrew D. Gable (Jennifer) of Myrtle Beach; four brothers, George Dailey and Don Dailey of Clinton, South Carolina, John Robert Dailey of Columbia, and Jamie Dailey of Whidbey Island, Washington; a grandson; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

     The family truly regrets that due to the Coronavirus and CDC regulations, the funeral service must be limited in attendance. Friends are encouraged to contact the family for information and to keep them in prayer.
