Jimmy Wayne Fowle: Chadbourn

Jimmy Wayne Fowler of the Cribbtown community near Chadbourn, died Tuesday, April 21, in his home. He was 84.
Born Jan. 21, 1936 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Robert L. Fowler and Mable Phipps Fowler.
He was a member of Welcome Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. He was employed with Tabor City Cold Storage for 30 years and National Spinning for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia Cribb Fowler of the home; two sons, Gerald Fowler and wife Carla of Whiteville, and Ricky Gene Fowler of Clarendon; one daughter, Lynne Fowler Cribb and husband Barry of Chadbourn; four sisters, Vivian Fowler Gore of Nakina, Amanda Gail Hardin of New Smyrna, Florida, Sharon F. Cox of Loris, and Sherry Hardee of Loris; special brother-in-law, Larry O. Cribb and wife Tricia of Whiteville; five grandchildren, Camillia C. Cumbee and husband Bobby, Bryson Cribb, Catelyn Bullock, Hannah Bullock and Ward Bullock; three great grandchildren, Konner Cumbee, Kolt Cumbee and Kyla Cumbee; and one great great grandchild, Addie Cumbee.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in Inman Ward Funeral Home. Additional viewing was planned from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 24.
Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Friday, April 24 in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial follow in Cribb Cemetery, Old Cribbtown Road, Chadbourn.
