Allyson Strickland: Tabor City

1962 – 2020

     Allyson Strickland of Tabor City died Thursday, May 14, in Duke University Hospital, Durham. She was 57.

     She was born in Mullins, Sept. 9, 1962, a daughter of the late Reginald and Clarice Dimmery Strickland.

     Surviving are her husband, Eddie L. Strickland of the home; two daughters, Amanda Strickland and her husband Scott, and Olivia Strickland; a sister, Charlotte Strickland; and four grandchildren.

     A graveside service was planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17, in the New Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 9833 Swamp Fox Hwy West, Cerro Gordo, with Rev. Rusty Davis and Rev. Josh Phillips officiating.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cherry Grove Baptist Church College and Career Fund, 9833 Swamp Fox Hwy West, Cerro Gordo, NC 28430 or to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, 8815 Conroy Windermere Road, Suite 309, Orland, FL 32835.
