Robert Joseph Malkmus, III: Loris

1949 – 2020

     Robert Joseph Malkmus, III of Loris passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee. He was 71.

     Mr. Malkmus was born on March 2, 1949 in Long Branch, New Jersey, to the late Robert Joseph Malkmus, Jr. and the late Edna Lorraine Morley Malkmus. Mr. Malkmus worked as a Wardrobe Supervisor in theater and was of the Episcopalian faith.

     Survivors include his three sisters, Jyl Carroll (Rick) and Robinle Craig (Jim) of Charleston, and Julie Davis (Rich) of Trout Lake, Washington; nieces Tina Morris (Sam) and their children Richard and Samantha, Samantha D’Amore (Andrew); nephew James D’Amore III (Lynne); Aunt Marguerite Morley of Charleston; cousin Jackie (Ira) McNulty of Brooklyn, New York; his lifelong friend Naomi “Kissie” Slavin; and his fishing buddy Roxanne “VanPelt” Felan.

     Private memorial services were planned.
