Donald Ray Buffkin: Nichols

1957 – 2020

     Donald Ray Buffkin of Nichols died Thursday, June 11, in Regency Hospital in Florence. He was 63.

     Born Jan. 21, 1957 in Marion County, he was the son of Edna Murrow Buffkin Siefert of Florence, SC and the late Johnny Buffkin.

     He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

     In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, James Elder Buffkin of Tabor City; and two sisters, Helen Floyd of Nichols and Judy Powell of Marion.

     In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Strickland.

     A memorial graveside service wsa planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, in the Gapway Church Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Due to the COVID-19 pandemic social distancing will be observed, and the family asked that all who attend wear a mask.
