Eric Travis Long: Nakina

1982 – 2020

     Eric Travis Long of Nakina died Monday, July 13. He was 38.

     Born Jan. 19, 1982 in Brunswick County, he was the son of Marvin Terry Long of Montana and Dale Taylor Long of Nakina.

     In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Bailey Jane Long of Shallotte; and two sisters, Robin Long Walters of Fairmont, and Melissa Gail Ridgeway of Port Allen, Louisiana.

     He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Edgar Long and Ruby Dell Long and Harlow Taylor, Jr. and Beulah Mae Taylor.

     Funeral services were planned for 6 p.m. Thursday, July 16, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service, in the chapel.

     Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing will be observed and family asks that all who attend wear a mask.
