1988 – 2020
Jessica Amy Long of Loris went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Aug. 7. She was 32.
Born Jan. 18, 1988 in Loris, she was the daughter of Carl Worth Long and Janice Stevens Long.
Affectionately known as “Doodles” because she loved to draw, she had a very creative imagination, a loving heart, and was a truly generous soul. Growing up she sang in Loris First Presbyterian Church where she was a member. She loved animals and especially fishing with her dad on the river.
Survivors, including her parents of Loris; are her sister and nephew, Jennifer Long and Ray Murphy of Wilmington; paternal grandparents Charles Long and wife Eva Mae of Loris; paternal uncle, Joe Long and wife Lara of Tabor City; paternal aunt Lisa Walker and husband Ronnie; maternal uncle Ben Steve Stevens and wife Sandra of Loris; maternal aunt Jean Ellen Solt and husband Donnie of Hendersonville; great maternal aunts Ruth Ann Jones and Eloise Safarian of Loris; and many loving cousins and extended family.
A Celebration of Life was planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Loris First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Dr. Tim Osment Officiating.
Family planned to receive friends immediately following the service.
Due to coronavirus concerns it is requested that only family, close friends and fellow church members attend the service, and that those who attend observe all social distancing guidelines and wear a mask in accordance with SCDHEC recommendations.
