Kenneth Harold “Ken” Horne, II: Longs

1961 – 2020

     Kenneth Harold “Ken” Horne, II of Longs passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020 at McLeod Regional Hospital in Florence following an illness. He was 59.

     Born Feb. 19, 1961, in Loris, he was the son of Judy Horne Edge Bland and the late Kenneth Harold Horne.

     Mr. Horne served his country with courage and honor in the United States Army. After the Army he worked in the hospitality and restaurant business until his retirement. He loved to fish and was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

     Survivors, including his mother of Longs, are his wife, Deborah Aviles Horne of Longs; step-son Rafael Vivas of Pell City, Alabama; three step-daughters, Sandra Kilgroe and Lissette Reeves both of Pell City, Alabama and Nancy Haynes of Oklahoma; sisters Jamie Edge and husband, Freddy of Longs and Amanda “Mandy” Horne of Charleston; half-brother Ed Horne and wife, Jan of Lexington; an aunt, Lucille Hunt of Conway; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

     Graveside services were planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Twin City Mausoleum with Pastor Mack Hutson officiating.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service at the mausoleum.

     Family requests that memorials be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 6907 Hwy 905, Conway, SC 29526.
