Calene Norris: Tabor City

1946 – 2020

     Calene Norris of Tabor City died Monday, Sept. 7, in her home. She was 73.

     Born Oct. 31, 1946 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Marion Pate Norris and Lizzie Elizabeth Norris and the widow of Hubert Melvin Norris.

     She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Guillen of Tabor City and Dorcas Ann Norris of Selma, California; two sisters, Alene Norris Kelliahan of Bladenboro and Margaret Paulene Lovette of Goldsboro; and four grandchildren, Ramon Guillen, Eddie Guillen, Fernando Galarza and Mauro Norris.

     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Norris; and a sister, Earlene Sellers.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in the Tyler Family Cemetery, Tabor City.
