John Bernon “Frog” Prince: Tabor City

1940 – 2020

     John Bernon “Frog” Prince of Tabor City died Thursday, Sept. 10, in Regency Hospital, Florence. He was 80.

     Born Feb. 6, 1940 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Aaron Edison Prince and Edith Williams Prince.

     He is survived by a daughter, Amanda P. McCumbee and husband Kirk of Little River; a brother, Eddie Prince and wife Judy of Tabor City; four grandchildren, Chan Durden and wife Brittany, Chase Durden, Megan McCumbee and Kyle McCumbee; and six great grandchildren, Kailey, McKinley, Jianna, Kaeson, Ashton and Kingston.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dian Prince Barnes

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, in Tabor City Baptist Church, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic social distancing will be observed and all who attend will be required to wear a mask.
