A Fair Bluff resident has been identified as person who died in an Oct. 5 shooting near Tabor City that also injured two other people.

David Kadeem Hemingway, 28, died on the scene of the shooting on Memory Lane, a spokeswoman for Columbus County Sheriff Jody Greene said Thursday.

Investigators have released little information on the shooting, and have not identified the other victims. Their investigation led to a high speed chase from the Tabor City area into Horry County that ended after a collision involving the sheriff’s vehicle, and the arrest of a Tabor City man. That man has not been named as a person of interest or suspect in shootings, but fled from law enforcement investigating the case several days after the killing of Hemingway.
