Caller wants your e-mail? It’s NOT us

What appears to be a scam or phishing attempt using the name of a trusted news source has hit home, and to be clear, we are NOT calling you.
At least one local merchant received a phone call Tuesday morning, the voice on the other end of the line with a thick, foreign accent, claiming to represent Tabor-Loris Tribune and asking for e-mail contact information.
A quick Google search showed that the number appears to be from Connecticut, and has been the focus of previous scam complaints.
While we have the number, we are not calling, and would not recommend giving any information to any unsolicited caller unless you are very sure who is on the other end of the line.
In this case, again, we are NOT calling you.
