Both sides, now

Wrecks on US 701 where the business and bypass highways intersect on north and south sides of Tabor City happen from time to time, but rarely if ever at the same time. That happened Tuesday afternoon with a dump truck containing asphalt on the north end skidded off the highway and overturned as the driver tried to stop after the light changed to red; then a log truck tipped in the curve just south of the state line. Both drivers were checked by EMS crews and declined a trip to the hospital. (Deuce Niven, TLT)
