Traffic mess

A woman’s injuries did not appear to be life threatening, but traffic on US 701 Bypass in Tabor City was slowed to a crawl after her SUV and a tractor-trailer rig collides at Pireway Road at about 3 p.m. Thursday. Tabor City Emergency Services transported the woman to a hospital, the truck driver declined medical treatment and transport, Tabor City Fire Department members rerouted traffic and ultimately shut down southbound bypass traffic at US 701 Business. Tabor City Police Department officers were investigating Thursday afternoon. (Deuce Niven, TLT)
