Selena Watts Floyd: Loris

1928 – 2026

     Selena Watts Floyd of Loris entered into the presence of her Savior on Saturday, Oct. 24. She was 98.

     Selena was born in Whiteville to the late Cecil and Jessie Shelley.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Laphon Watts; her second husband, Leon Floyd; her son, Danny Watts; and three sisters, Orine Crawford, Joanne Johnson, and Rachel Dodson.

     Survivors include one daughter, Tricia Powell of Loris; one sister, Elizabeth Henry of Union Mills; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

     Family planned to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel with Rev. Mike Kinlaw and Rev. Art Ramsey officiating, burial following in Riverside Cemetery in Nichols.
