Counting down to Saturday, the Loris Chamber of Commerce and City of Loris officials say they are ready for the 47th annual Loris Bog-Off Festival.
“Bring your appetite to sample the best chicken bog around, along with dancing shoes,” said chamber executive director Samantha Norris. “We have a jam-packed day of live entertainment, a huge car show with more than 50 prizes to win, Cluckin’ and Guzzlin’ contests for all ages to enter, fun kid’s area, 200 food and retail vendors to enjoy, and of course all things chicken bog,” said Norris.
Main Stage
Entertainment on the Main Stage will peak with a 3:30 p.m. performance from The Catalinas, promising a show-stopping performance singing their iconic 1975 hit, “Summertime’s Calling me,” written by Johnny Barker. It’s arguably Carolina Beach Music’s top anthem.
In addition to their original tracks, concertgoers can also expect the group to sprinkle in a few classic soul and funk cover hits from other bands that are guaranteed to get visitors on those dancing feet.
There’s much more leading up to the closing performance, and much more on the festival in this week’s Tabor-Loris Tribune and special section in print and online.
