Cherry Grove Baptist Church hosts Come And Find Encouragement (CAFÉ) Women’s Club sessions from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month. Free and open to all adult women from the church, the community and surrounding communities, this gathering is held free of charge and includes breakfast. CAFÉs’ purpose is to provide an outlet for women that interlocks with the other ministries of the church without ever becoming a stand-alone ministry. Its goal is to help women improve their relationship with God and each other. Bible study and activities are held in an environment where each woman is affirmed and valued, encouraging each other to serve and grow. CAFÉ also encourages women to inhale and exhale the word of God in the home, church and community, and provides women who hold leadership roles an opportunity engage in Bible study and fellowship for themselves.

Scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall, the cookout sponsored by the Pastor Aide Committee will feature fish or chicken dinners for $7, fish or chicken sandwiches for $4.
Fish dinners will include sweet potatoes, rice and bread. Chicken dinners will include potato salad, string beans, and a roll.
Tickets are available from any church member.

Wesleyan Women at Old Zion Wesleyan Church will hold their annual turkey dinner and quilt raffle Saturday, Nov. 4.
Scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m., the event will be held in the church Family Life Center. Dinner will include turkey, homemade dressing, and all the trimmings. Cost is $8 per plate; eat-in or take-out.
Raffle tickets for the handmade quilt and pillow shams are $1 each and the drawing will be held at the conclusion of the dinner. Other handmade craft items will also be available for sale. Proceeds benefit missions.

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an International Christian relief organization headed by Franklin Graham that collects gift-filled shoeboxes and delivers them in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in desperate situations around the world.
Churches, organizations, schools, businesses, civic groups, and individuals are invited to pack shoeboxes and bring them to any Operation Christmas Child collection sites.
Collection sites are also located at Whiteville United Methodist Church, North Strand Community Church in Little River, North Conway Baptist Church, Bethany Bible Chapel in Conway, Antioch Baptist Church in Galivants Ferry, and Shallotte Presbyterian Church.
Safe Harbor Youth Center, a ministry of New Life Community Church in Whiteville, is open to families and children from 6:30 to 9:30 each Friday evening. Safe Harbor offers skating, basketball, Foosball, ping pong, volleyball, and other activities in a safe Christian environment. Children 3 and younger are free, admission for children 4 and older is $5, skate rental is $1, and adults not skating with family are free. A Christmas Bazaar at Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Loris is this Friday and Saturday.
Scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the sale will be set up in the Parrish Hall behind the church. Crafts and other items will be on sale, an auction and bake sale are planned, just in time for the holidays.
