Drug awareness program at St. Paul
“Drug Awareness in the Triangle” of Tabor City, Loris and Fair Bluff will be the focus of a community event this Sunday at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Tabor City.
Scheduled for 4 p.m., the program will address substance abuse in these rural communities and provide information on how to recognize signs of substance abuse, resources for helping to address addiction, family support, and local options for treatment.
Scheduled speakers include Columbus County social worker Lisa Fipps, Rev. Pat Inman of the Brunswick Christian Recovery Center, Tabor City Police Department officer and Chaplain Billy Ward, and a representative from McLeod Loris hospital.
A question and answer will follow the presentations, refreshments will be available.
All are invited. The church is located at 410 East 5th Street, Tabor City.
