Easter weekend activities at Old Zion

     Drive-thru prayer, a self-guided prayer walk, and community Easter Egg Hunt will precede Easter Sunrise Service at Old Zion Wesleyan Church during the last weekend this month.

     Each of these activities are free, the public invited to take part. Scheduled activities include:

• Drive-thru prayer, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Good Friday, under the breezeway between the church and Family Life Center, or simply “honk for prayer” while passing by along NC Hwy 904 and members of the prayer team will pray for passengers.
• Journey to the Cross, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Good Friday, a self-guided prayer walk through the 12 stations of the Cross located in the church sanctuary and throughout the Education Department will include interactive readings, videos, and prompts for reflection and action.
• Community Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. to noon Saturday outside the Family Life Center, concluding inside. Features will include “Jesus Train” rides, inflatables, games, prizes, face painting and refreshments for children of all ages, birth to 13, and their families.
• Easter Sunrise Service, 7 a.m. in the Prayer Garden will include a devotional, prayer, singing, followed by breakfast served in the Family Life Center. Sunday School will follow at 9:45 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m.

     Pastor Roger Parsons and the congregation invites all to take part. The church is located at 10144 Swamp Fox Highway East (NC 904) 11 miles east of Tabor City.
