A gospel sing featuring Palmetto Street Praise of Florence will help Old Zion Wesleyan Church celebrate more than a century of its history on Sunday, Aug. 27.
Taking place during 11 a.m. worship, the singing service will be followed by a covered-dish lunch in the Family Life Center.
“The Bible is full of examples of remembrances and God wants us to remember the many blessings he has given us,” said OZWC Lead Pastor Roger Parsons. “This special heritage Sunday service will be a time of fellowship, reminiscing, and counting the many blessings that God has bestowed upon our church and community.
“We encourage everyone to bring old photographs, directories, memorabilia, and other items of our history and heritage to share. We will have special tables set-up during lunch to display these items.”
Parsons, Assistant Pastor Stephen Barnes, and the congregation invite the community, especially former members and the extended church family to take part.
Old Zion Wesleyan Church is located at 10144 Swamp Fox Highway East (NC 904) 11 miles east of Tabor City.
