Meeting on Green Sea Post Office future set for Dec. 6

By JOYCE GRAHAM
Talk of closing the U.S. Postal Service office at Green Sea is just talk, at least for now, and those who live or work in the 29545 zip code are invited to add to the conversation.
A public meeting on the potential closure of the Post Office in Green Sea is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Head Start Building on SC 410, near the Post Office.
(A story in the Tabor-Loris Tribune print edition says the meeting is on Thursday, Dec. 5. The meeting is on Thursday, which is Dec. 6. – Ed)
Postal officials say the purpose of the meeting will be to seek public input on the impact of closing the office, to discuss alternatives on the future of the office if it remains open, and overall community needs.
Survey forms have been mailed to every address in the Green Sea zip code, and additional forms are available at the Post Office there during operational hours.
