Undercover agents make drug arrests in Loris

An undercover narcotics operation focusing on “the Bottom” area of Loris netted a half-dozen arrests for attempting to possess, two more for disorderly conduct or failing to appear in court, Sgt. Robert Kegler of the Horry County Police Department said Friday.
Detectives from the Horry County Police Department’s Narcotics and Vice Section, officers of the Street Crimes Unit, and Agents from the 15th Judicial Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit took part in the operation, which resulted from citizen complaints concerning drug activity in the area, Kegler said.
Charged with attempting to possess drugs were Loris residents Tony Conner, 63; Ricky Lee Shaw, 49; Fulecia Ebron Daniels, 34; George W. Bellinger, 56; Judy Mae Barnes Curry, 55; and Longs resident Quangte Denise Alston, 29. All were held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center near Conway.
Harrison Ranenell, 66, of Loris, was charged with public disorderly conduct.
Jeremy Jamal Bromell, 22, of Loris, was charged on a warrant for failing to appear in court.
