Five people were charged with trespassing at the law offices of former state Sen. R.C. Soles Jr. Tuesday afternoon, Chief Donald Dowless of the Tabor City Police Department said.
Those charged include the man who from the witness stand a year ago recanted allegations that Soles had attacked him.
Arrested on second-degree trespass charges were Frankie Lee Jernigan, 29, of Williams Road, Chadbourn and his wife Danielle Johanna Jernigan, 27; Daniel Lee Floyd, 35, and his wife Chelsea Floyd, 20, who have listed addresses on West 2nd and Ray streets in Tabor City; and Alana Jones, 28, of Swamp Fox Hwy West, Tabor City.
All five were held at the Columbus County Detention Center in Whiteville under secured bonds of $2,000 each, said Detective Sgt. Christopher Hilburn, the charging officer.
