Mary Ann Cox Stevens: Loris

    Mary Ann Cox Stevens of Loris passed away Thursday, Feb. 7 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach following an illness. She was 79.  
    Born on Sept. 3, 1933 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Joseph Bunyon Cox and the late Mrs. Minnie Mercy Barker Cox. 
    Survivors include her three sons, Joseph Stevens, Clyde Stevens and Kevin Stevens, all of Myrtle Beach; her daughter, Talene of Palmetto, Fla.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Marshall Cox Pueblo, Colo.
    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stevens was predeceased by two sons, H.B. “Scrip” Cox and Danny Hardwick as well as several brothers and sisters.
    Graveside services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Carter Cemetery in Loris, with Reverend Sherrod Barfield officiating.
