Charles W. Page, Sr.: Loris

Charles Wesley Page, Sr. of Loris passed away on Friday, Feb. 15 at his home following an illness. He was 79.
Born on March 25, 1933 in Tabor City, he was the son of Mr. Jesse James Page and Mrs. Lillie Marie Frink Page.
Mr. Page served his country with courage and honor retiring from the U.S. Army and National Guard. Mr. Page worked as an insurance salesman for Independent Life, enjoyed gardening and was a longtime member of Cane Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife, Christine Gerald Page of the home; three sons, Charles Wesley Page, Jr. and wife, Cathy, James Gerald Page and wife, Angela and Ronnie Dale Page and wife, Barbara all of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Christine Priscilla Vaught and husband, Jimmy of Galivants Ferry, and Lydia Hardee of Loris; one brother, J.C. Page and wife, Marie of Loris; sister, Annie Mae Bellamy of Loris; sister-in-law, Myrtle Page of Clarkton, and many loving grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Page was predeceased by a brother, Norman Page and his brother-in-law, Thomas Bellamy.
Visitation was planned from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17 at Hardwick Funeral Home in Loris.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Cane Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Jon Johnson and Reverend Alvin Jackson officiating. Committal services with military honors were to follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens.
