Thelbert Bullard: Loris
Thelbert Bullard of Loris passed away Sunday, Feb. 17 at McLeod Loris hospital following an illness. He was 79.
Born on December 5, 1933 in Green Sea, he was the son of Mr. William R. “Bud” Bullard, Sr. and Mrs. Dessie Pridgen Bullard.
Mr. Bullard retired from Penn Ventilator and was the superintendent of Tabor City Holiness Tabernacle. Thelbert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Watts Bullard of the home; two sons, Teddy Ray Bullard and wife, Nancy of Chadbourn, and Randall Paul Bullard of Tabor City; three daughters, Tammy Sims and husband, Mark, Windy Bullard-Suggs and husband, Michael all of Loris, and Dana Watts Sampson and husband, Ryan of Pembroke; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, W.R. “Bill” Bullard of Florence, and McArthur Bullard of Green Sea; one sister, Berline Tompkins of Thomasville.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bullard was predeceased by his daughter, Loretta K. Watts; two brothers, Corley Bullard and Elbert Bullard; and three sisters, Bernice Grainger, Eudell Milligan and Eunice Beasley.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Hardwick Funeral Home in Loris.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Terry Nealey and Rev. Larry Small officiating. Committal services were to follow at Twin City Memorial Gardens.
