Carjacked car crashes

     This car, reportedly carjacked from a Whiteville woman at the security gate of former state Sen. R.C. Soles Jr. Saturday night, overturned during a brief chase with Tabor City Police Officer Jeff Grainger just after 10 p.m. Saturday.
     Grainger said when he turned to pursue the car off of Canal Drive, it sped away, rolling as it tried to turn right onto Stake Road. Two men and two women in the car all refused medical assistance. Though detained by police on the scene, all were released as officers were unable to verify who was driving, Grainger said Sunday.
