Sidney Cherry Grove Road bridge project begins April 15
A bridge replacement project near Tabor City will shut down a section of Sidney Cherry Grove Road beginning next Monday, a N.C. Department of Transportation news release said.
DOT contractors will be replacing the bridge over the Big Freshwater Branch near N.C. 904, shutting down traffic there for 120 days.
Motorists traveling this section of Sidney Cherry Grove Road should follow the signed detour, taking Cherry Grove Road to Peanut Worley Road to Eliza Butler Road back to Sidney Cherry Grove Road.
Motorists are encouraged to watch for the road closure signs, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
