Franklin Earl Hemingway: Tabor City

    Franklin Earl “Big Six” Hemingway of Tabor City passed away Thursday, April 11 at McLeod Loris hospital. He was 57.
    He was the son of the late Mary H. Gause and the late Edward L. Hemingway.
    He is survived by two daughters, Turkessa Moody and Ramona Jackson of Loris; two brothers, James E. Hemingway and Ottie Hemingway of Augusta, Ga.; three sisters, Joann Reaves of High Point, Debbie Hemingway of Tabor City and Mona Reaves of Columbia, SC.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 17 in Westside Funeral Chapel, Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 1 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at St. Matthew AME Church, Tabor City conducted by Pastor Onita Dupree. Interment was to follow in the Columbus County Singing Union Cemetery, Tabor City.
