Kathryn Baldwin Jenerette: Jacksonville, Fla.
Kathryn Baldwin Jenerette of Jacksonville, Fla., died Sunday, April 14. She was 89.
Born in Tabor City on August 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the Roland Baldwin and Marie Cunningham Baldwin.
She attended Queens College in Charlotte where she became a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Noah Hannibal Jenerette; her sister, Dorothy Mae Prout, and brother Kenneth Baldwin.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Mitchell of Glen Allen, Va.; daughters, Jean Walthall (Robert) of Tallahassee, Fla., Kathryn Kite of Jacksonville, Fla., and Priscilla Jenkins of Pasadena, Cal., and two grandchildren, Meredith Kite of Gainesville, Fla., and James Jenkins of Stamford, Conn.
Kathryn was a member of the Timuquana Country Club, Florida Yacht Club, Ponte Vedra Inn and Club, and former member of the Highlands Country Club.
She and Noah enjoyed many years golfing and spending time with family and friends at their mountain home in Highlands, NC.
She was the loveliest, and most gracious lady, and we were privileged to have her as our mother, and grandmother.
A Memorial Service in Celebration of our mothers list was held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 18 at St. John’s Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Fla. A reception followed at Timuquana Country Club.
