Riding for fallen officers

Story & Photo
By DEUCE NIVEN

About 40 law enforcement officers from throughout the southeastern US passed through Tabor City and Fair Bluff on Saturday, taking par in the Law Enforcement United “1000 Miles of Honor” ride from Florida to Washington, D.C.
After spending Saturday night in Lumberton, the group moved on to Wilmington Sunday, then headed north where more riders were expected to join the trek to Washington, D.C. to take part in a week of activities in honor of fallen public safety personnel from across the country.
